KINGSPORT – The Dobyns-Bennett Junior Statesmen of America, along with the local chapter of the League of Women Voters, will host a forum between Tennessee House Second District Representative candidate Tony Shipley and incumbent Nathan Vaughn on Monday, October 13 at 7 p.m.
KINGSPORT – Six Dobyns-Bennett High School students have been named as semi-finalists for the 2009 National Merit Scholarship program.
KINGSPORT – The Dobyns-Bennett High School Air Force Junior Officer Training Corps is pleased to announce their first place overall finish at the Unicoi County Invitational Drill Meet held Saturday.

KINGSPORT – The Dobyns-Bennett High School baseball field will be closed to the public during home football games beginning this school year.
KINGSPORT – The Kingsport Board of Education has approved a school rezoning plan to alleviate crowding at several elementary schools and populate the new John Adams Elementary School in 2009.
